Qualcomm's 2022 Snapdragon Tech Summit was a little different from the rest. It saw a continuation of its simplified rebrand, which gave us very clear updates on what to expect for mobile devices in 2023 and beyond.

Of course, the key highlight is Qualcomm's premium-tier system-on-chip (SoC) for Android smartphones, called the Snapdragon 8 Gen 2. The company's packed in a ton of features for phone makers to expand upon, on top of typical performance and battery improvements it has made.

But, also joining the famed chipset lineup is a compact Snapdragon AR2 Gen 1, an augmented reality (AR) processor group for sleek AR headgear like smart glasses. Then, there are also updates to its sound processors -- the Snapdragon S5 Gen 2 and S3 Gen 2 -- which capitalises on the latest audio technologies to bring us dynamic spatial audio, better Bluetooth support, and more.

We've packed in all the major announcements here.
