The new AI-powered Samsung laptops are now official, with Samsung announcing the Galaxy Book5 Pro and the convertible 2-in-1 Galaxy Book5 360 at CES 2025.
According to Samsung, the company’s Galaxy AI enables the following features on the Galaxy Book5 series laptops:
- AI Select, similar to Circle To Search on Samsung’s Galaxy smartphones, allows users to select a search area on their screen to get results.
- Photo Remaster, which helps retouch blurry images and photos with the help of AI.
- Native Microsoft Phone Link support (Windows 11) lets users connect to Galaxy mobiles.
- Live Translate and Transcript Assist like its smartphone brethren.
Samsung said the new AI PCs offer up to Intel Core Ultra processors (Series 2) with 47 TOPs of NPU capabilities, a maximum 25-hour battery life (16-inch Galaxy Book5 Pro0), and fast charging of up to 35% in 30 minutes.
Other perks include the Galaxy Book5 Pro's Dynamic AMOLED 2X touchscreen display with 3K resolution and 120Hz refresh rate, paired with Dolby Atmos-supported quad speakers.
Unfortunately, both the Galaxy Book5 Pro and Galaxy Book5 360 are only coming to Canada, France, Germany, the UK, and the U.S., starting February 2025. Like the laptops before it, there’s no news about its Singapore availability yet.
