The refreshed Razer Blade gaming notebook is now available to buy in Singapore. The new 14-inch laptop has been updated with an NVIDIA GeForce GTX 1060 and a 1TB PCIe SSD option, making it one of the most capable notebooks in its size category.

The new Blade joins the compact Blade Stealth ultrabook as part of Razer’s 2016 refresh, and its svelte 17.9mm thick frame belies the fact that it packs the same graphics card as some far larger and heavier 15.6-inch notebooks.

This marks the second time Razer has refreshed the Blade this year. Back in March, it updated the laptop with a higher resolution display and up to 16GB of RAM.

However, while the Blade is actually available with up to a 3,200 x 1,800-pixel display, it looks like only the 1,920 x 1,080-pixel model can be bought here.

Locally, the Blade ships with an Intel Core i7-6700HQ processor, 16GB of RAM, and a 256GB, 512GB or 1TB PCIe SSD. All three configurations are equipped with an NVIDIA GeForce GTX 1060, which delivers performance similar to last generation’s desktop GeForce GTX 980.

In other words, yes, this is a 14-inch notebook that is fully VR-Ready.

Unlike the higher resolution units however, the 1080p models of the Blade will not feature a touchscreen display.

Other specifications include up to three USB 3.0 ports, one HDMI 2.0 output, and a USB-C Thunderbolt 3 connector that doubles as a charging port.

The 256GB model starts at S$2,699, but this can go up to a cool S$3,529 for the 1TB model. The laptop is now available to buy on Razer’s website.
