Announced in September last year, Microsoft's latest Surface Pro is finally coming to our shores.
To recap, the latest Surface Pro – Surface Pro 8 – features a completely new design. It resembles the Surface Pro X, and that means a larger display with thinner bezels, and generally a sleeker and more modern aesthetic.
The Surface Pro 8 is 9.3mm thick and weighs 891g on its weight. Those numbers will obviously go up once you pair it with a keyboard.
The display is a 13-inch PixelSense display. The 3:2 aspect ratio of older Surface Pros have been retained and this means a resolution of 2880 x 1920 pixels.
As for ports, you get two USB-C ports with support for Thunderbolt 4. There's no USB-A ports nor memory card slot.
Inside, the Surface Pro 8 is powered by Intel 11th Gen Core (Tiger Lake) processors – with Core i5 and Core i7 variants available to choose from. You can get it with up to 32GB of memory and up to 1TB of SSD storage.
The Surface Pro 8 also gets new accessories. The new Signature Keyboard features storage and charging for the new Slim Pen 2. Both accessories are sold separately.
Availability and pricing
Pre-orders for the Surface Pro 8 will start on 20 January 2022 and it will be available in retail on 15 February 2022. Prices start at S$1,649.

The Surface Pro Signature Keyboard starts at S$239. The Surface Slim Pen 2 is S$179.
