As we inch closer to the rumored reveal of NVIDIA’s next-generation graphics cards in August, new reports have surfaced of the upcoming GeForce 11-series GPUs.

According to LaptopMedia, Lenovo is planning to update its Legion Y530 15.6-inch gaming notebook with the mid-range GeForce GTX 1160. The site also says that the GPU will have 6GB of video memory, not unlike the existing GeForce GTX 1060.

It’s tempting to assume that this means 6GB of GDDR6 memory, but it’s also possible that NVIDIA may reserve the new memory chips for its higher-end cards.

Furthermore, NVIDIA hasn’t confirmed whether its new generation of cards will be called the GeForce 11-series or the GeForce 20-series. That said, recent nuggets of information from Lenovo appear to point to the former, and a Lenovo representative also casually referenced NVIDIA’s 11-series cards in a recent interview.
