Probably the most amazing of Lenovo’s laptop announcements was that of the ThinkBook Plus Gen 6 Rollable.
First showcased as the Lenovo rollable laptop concept two years ago, the new ThinkBook Plus Gen 6 Rollable AI PC is the first rollable display that vertically expands from a 14-inch display to 16.7 inches by a simple press of a dedicated key or through hand gestures to the camera. This expansion gives users nearly 50% additional screen space while still retaining the portable form factor of a laptop of a 14-inch laptop footprint with a 19.9mm profile and weighing just 1.7kg.
The ThinkBook Plus Gen 6 Rollable is powered by Intel Core Ultra processors, Intel Arc graphics, and has connectivity options like two Thunderbolt 4 ports, Bluetooth 5.4, Wi-Fi 7, Dolby Atmos, and Harman Kardon speakers. It also includes a 120Hz OLED display with 400 nits of brightness, and 100% DCI-P3 colour accuracy.
Lenovo says that with its rollable screen, the device offers an extended vertical display ideal for applications such as document review, coding, project management, and content creation. Those in creative fields and technical roles will appreciate the split-screen functionality that supports multiple window layout without sacrificing screen space. This adaptable display solution includes virtual display technology, allowing users to create a second virtual display which can be uniquely shared in meetings, reducing the need to bring along an external display.
A Copilot+ PC, it comes with AI-enabled features combining on-device intelligence and cloud capabilities to enhance productivity. AI tools like Lenovo AI Now acts as a smart assistant, streamlining workflows and offering personalised task suggestions while Copilot+ PC provides advanced generative AI capabilities, supporting tasks from content creation to data processing
The Lenovo ThinkBook Plus Gen 6 will be available starting June 2025, with an expected starting price of US$3,499 (~S$4,780.81).
