Huawei launches new 2-in-1 Windows tablet at MWC 2016

Huawei’s latest business computing solution is a 2-in-1 convertible that boasts performance matched with portability thanks to the thin, fanless design.

Slim and stylish, Huawei’s new MateBook has been built with the connected user in mind, with a 6th generation (Skylake) Intel Core M-series processorand a fanless design. This new series of notebook boasts solid state storage of up 512GB, up to 8GB LPDDR3 memory, and will come in options from the 6th core m3 processor up to a 6th core m7 processor. Which basically means you’ll get better battery efficiency, and improved computing performance.

Designed with simplicity in mind, the MateBook has a high-quality aluminum uni-body that weighs just 640g, and measures just 278.8x194.1x6.9mm, making it incredibly portable. The 12” IPS multi-touch screen boasts a resolution of 2160x1440 with a color gamut of 85%. Promising you a rich, vivid display. It also has a 160 degree wide viewing angle, so you won’t have to strain for a good viewing angle when showing off images on the laptop.

The MateBook’s 33.7Wh lithium battery has been rated to do up to nine hours of work, nine hours of consecutive internet use, and up to 29 hours of music playback, and so should be well able to keep up with your work day. If you do run low though, Huawei’s exclusive power-saving technology means you’ll have the MateBook up to full charge in just two and a half hours, and up to 60% charge in just an hour.

The first accessories for the MateBook have also been launched: the Keyboard, MatePen, and MateDock.
