Experience Windows RT with the NVIDIA Tegra-Powered ASUS Tablet 600. The 600 comes with its keyboard dock with a track pad for productivity computing, at the same time extending the usage of the Tablet 600 with the dock's built-in battery.
Spotlight was on ASUS at a pre-Computex press conference where the Taiwan-based IT giant unveiled its latest slew of devices. Paving the way to the approaching official release of Microsoft's next-generation operating system, the devices run Windows 8 (Release Preview) except for one thing - the ASUS Tablet 600.
Sporting a 10.1-inch Super IPS+ display panel (10-finger multitouch, 1366 x 768 resolution), the Tablet 600 runs on Windows RT which presents a UI similar to Windows 8 but is designed for ARM. Within its 8.35mm thin and 520g light body, the Tablet 600 is powered by a quad-core NVIDIA Tegra 3 processor (with one auxillary core) that comes with 12-core graphics. It also packs 2GB RAM and 32GB eMMC for integrated storage.
In front, the tablet has a 2-megapixel camera, whereas its rear side is occupied by an 8-megapixel shooter with LED flash. Wireless connectivity options include IEEE 802.11b/g/n and Bluetooth 4.0. The Tablet 600 also integrates an NFC sensor, G sensor, light sensor, gyroscope, e-compass, and GPS, along with ASUS-exclusive technologies such as SonicMaster and Photo Master.
Besides extending the usage of the ASUS tablet 600 away from a power source, the keyboard dock will allow the ease of performing productivity tasks on-the-go.
Offered with the 2-in-1 new mobile dock with hidden hinge design, the regional availability and pricing of the Tablet 600 is yet to be revealed.
