Best Buy leaks 17-inch Lg gram ahead of launch

Yup, LG is making an ultra-light 17-inch notebook.

Two weeks ago, we reported that LG may be launching a 17-inch gram notebook soon. And it turns out the rumors may just be right.

Multiple reports say that Best Buy seems to have accidentally listed the product online. It has since pulled them off now but it was long enough for folks to note down its specifications.

Lightness has always been the gram's highlight and the new 17-inch LG gram is said to weigh just 1.34kg. That's just 100g more than the new MacBook Air.

The 17.3-inch IPS display is said to have a resolution of 2,560 x 1,600 pixels and inside, the gram 17 will be powered by Intel's newest 8th generation "Whiskey Lake" Core processors.

Ports include three USB-A 3.1 ports, a USB-C port, a microSD carder, and a full-size HDMI port. Battery life is a claimed 19.5 hours.

According to Best Buy, the model with a Core i7 processor, 16GB RAM, and 512GB SSD will cost US$1,699.99.

We will likely hear more about this notebook at CES 2019.
