ASUS has announced Vivobook S 16, its latest consumer (and non-gaming) notebook that is powered by an AMD Ryzen 9 8945HS processor. As an Accelerated Processor Unit aka APU, the Ryzen 9 8945HS comes with the second-generation Ryzen AI technology that gives it an edge in handling generative AI performance in apps, such as DaVinci Resolve and Adobe Photoshop.

The Vivobook S 16 also boasts arguably one of the best display specs on paper, such as a 3.2K ASUS Lumina OLED display with a 120Hz refresh rate, 100% of the DCI-P3 colour gamut and features VESA DisplayHDR True Black 600 certification, making it suitable for tasks that demand colour accuracy and high dynamic range.

Despite its impressive internals, the notebook maintains a pretty svelte profile, weighing just 1.5kg and measuring 1.39cm in thickness. Its all-metal body also adds a touch of premium, while giving it a clean, minimalist look.

As with most notebooks launched in 2024, ASUS has included a dedicated Copilot key for easy access to Windows 11’s built-in AI tool aka Copilot. The ErgoSense keyboard also features customisable RGB backlighting, and an expanded touchpad for improved navigation. For privacy, the webcam comes with a physical shutter too.

The Vivobook S 16 retails for S$2,099 and is available now at the ASUS Exclusive Store, ASUS Online Store and authorised retailers.
