Apple has just released a whole bunch of software and firmware updates for its devices today. There's a lot to unpack so here's a list of the updates available:

  • iOS 17.1.1
  • macOS Sonoma 14.1.1
  • watchOS 10.1.1
  • HomePod 17.1.1

According to the release notes, iOS 17.1.1 addresses a problem that the iPhone 15 series phones have with the wireless charging docks in BMW cars. This update also fixes a weather lock screen bug where it might not display snow correctly.

As for macOS Sonoma 14.1.1, the release notes are vague and say that the update "provides important bug fixes and security updates."

watchOS 10.1.1 fixes a battery-draining issue that is affecting some users.

Finally, the HomePod 17.1.1 update fixes a bug that could cause Siri on some HomePod speakers to be slow or simply fail to complete certain requests.
