Apple has just announced its financial results for Q1 2015 and it was record-breaking and staggering.

The company posted record quarterly revenue of US$74.6 billion and a net profit of around US$18 billion. This was led by strong sales of the latest iPhone 6 and iPhone 6 Plus, which sold nearly 75 million units - a year over year increase of a whopping 46%.

Mac sales were also at an all-time high of over 5.5 million units. This represented an increase of 14% year over year.

Unfortunately, iPad sales continued to decline and the company sold "just" over 21 million units. This was a decrease of 18% year over year.

Apple's CEO Tim Cook also took the time to announce that the company has just shipped its one billionth iOS device. He also hinted that the Apple Watch will launch in April.
