Acer Might Debut Google Chrome OS Device at Computex

Google's Chrome OS has been reported for an availability by the 2nd half of 2010, and it seems like Acer (and likely other vendors) might reveal all at this year's Computex.

In just a few weeks, we will be embarking on our annual visit to Computex. And this year, it's more than just the latest hardware that'll be showcased. Rumor has it that Acer will be ready to reveal its first Chrome OS based device.

Engadget - Acer said it would be first to market with a Chrome OS netbook, and it's looking like it may meet that lofty goal. Sources told VentureBeat that the company will debut multiple new products featuring the cloud-based operating system at Computex in June, less than three weeks from now.

Chrome OS has been reported for a 2nd half release, so it's more than likely that Acer, and maybe its competitors, will be showcasing their offerings at Computex. For more information about Acer and the Google Chrome OS, click here.
