Constructed with what Lenovo says is satellite-grade carbon fiber, the new ThinkPad X1 Carbon is said to be the world's lightest 14-inch business ultrabook – it weighs just 1.2kg and is only 16.5mm thick. It also has a spill-resistant keyboard, which means it's ready to follow you just about anywhere, even to the lunch room.

The ThinkPad X1 Carbon is just 16.5mm thick. It also has just about all the ports a business user could need, including a full-sized HDMI port on the right edge.

Lenovo is claiming another world record with the ThinkPad X1 Yoga, this time for the thinnest and lightest 14-inch 2-in-1 business convertible. It tips the scales at 1.27kg and is just 16.8mm thick, just a hair thicker than the ThinkPad X1 Carbon. It features a similar carbon fiber construction and is the first convertible to have an option for an OLED screen that produces more striking colors and deeper blacks.

The ThinkPad X1 Tablet is something of a competitor to the Microsoft Surface Pro 4. But unlike Microsoft's hybrid, it comes bundled with the snap-on keyboard and offers the option to add on a separate 3D Imaging Module with an Intel RealSense 3D camera.

The detachable ThinkPad keyboard barely adds any extra width to the tablet. It snaps on via a magnetic hinge and looks almost every inch like a regular keyboard on the other ThinkPad X1 devices.

There are three adjustable typing angles to suit different preferences, but the keyboard can also be easily detached to allow you to use the device as a tablet.
