HP’s CES 2026 flagship announcement is an eyebrow-raising 12mm-thin keyboard that contains everything you need for a full AI PC experience. Based on what’s shared, it’s also no slouch, so let’s get right into the device.
HP EliteBoard G1a, the keyboard that’s also a whole PC
It’s a keyboard, it’s a PC, it’s an EliteBoard G1a.
Usually, when a brand says they “reimagined” something, it’s hardly the case. However, the HP EliteBoard G1 truly reimagines a keyboard into a PC that fits all functional components, and it is out and about even before its CES debut.
HP EliteBoard G1a is a 12mm-thin keyboard at just 750g, supporting CPUs up to AMD’s Ryzen AI 300 series and offers up to Windows 11 Pro for Business out of the box.

Details about the keyboard-PC are very sparse. However, the product page implies it’s spill-resistant, and that all you need is a power source, a monitor, and a mouse to complete the workstation.
Others have tried the PC out, with varying degrees of detail offered. The keyboard comes with an optional battery that reportedly has 3.5 hours of productivity, as reported by Forbes. It also supports 4K resolution, 60Hz monitors, and has built-in stereo speakers.
According to HP, the device is spill-resistant.
PCMag’s week-long trial showed that the keys are low-profile and use silicone-dome switches, and that there are two USB-C ports for monitor connections.
It also includes a splitting dongle that provides RJ45 connectivity for wired Internet access, HDMI for display, and power connectivity to wall adapters. This reduces the number of cables required to connect to the EliteBoard G1a, freeing up its two precious ports for other devices like a mouse.
We will update with its Singapore pricing and availability, should the EliteBoard G1a ever come to our shores.
