Intel reportedly plans to drop prices on select Sandy Bridge processors in September and again in October. Intel plans to launch 7 new processors soon.

Intel reportedly plans to drop prices on select Sandy Bridge processors in September and again in October. The first round of price drops will affect all mid- and low-power Core i7 and Core i5 CPUs.

The second round of price cuts will follow in October and this time, prices on several Core i3 and Pentium microprocessors will be slashed.
