Samsung's new Exynos 9825 chipset is powering the Galaxy Note10

Samsung unveiled the 7nm Exynos 9825 chipset hours ahead of the Galaxy Note10 event.

Hours before it takes the wrap off the Galaxy Note10, Samsung unveiled the Exynos 9825 octa-core chipset which is powering the phones.

Built on the industry's first 7nm EUV process technology, the Exynos 9825 consists of two M4 cores, two Cortex-A75 cores and four Cortex-A55 cores with ARM Mali G-76 MP12 GPU. It also has an integrated Neural Processing Unit (NPU) to offer object recognition for optimized photos, usage pattern recognition and faster app pre-loading. 

In terms of cellular connectivity, the Exynos 9825 has an integrated 4G LTE-Advanced Pro modem and supports 8x Carrier Aggregation for up to 2Gbps download speeds. It is also 5G ready when paired with the Exynos Modem 5100.

Other features include support for a multi-camera setup (e.g. telephoto, wide-angle, ultra-wide lenses, 3D depth sensor), support for up to 8K Ultra HD video encoding and decoding, a display subsystem that supports up to 4K UHD and HDR10+, and a physically unclonable function (PUF) to store the user's personal data securely.
