Photo of AMD A10-7850K 'Kaveri' APU Leaked

An alleged photo of the AMD A10-7850 ‘Kaveri’ APU has been leaked by the Japanese website Hermitage Akihabara. Besides its picture, the site also published the screenshots of the CPU-Z and GPU-Z utilities, revealing more technical specifications of the soon-to-be-launched chip.

According to techPowerUp, AMD also plans to bundle the Battlefield 4 PC game title with two Kaveri APU models, which will be the A10-7850K and A10-7700K. Earlier, it has been revealed the A10-7850K APU will feature a quad-core Steamroller-based 3.7GHz CPU, with a maximum turbo frequency of 4.0GHz. Its Radeon R7 graphics will feature eight GCN-based cores, rated at 720MHz, with support for AMD TrueAudio technology.

The A10-7700K is a step-down due to its four CPU cores with lower maximum turbo clock speeds of 3.8GHz. It will feature six GCN-based R7 graphics cores that are also rated at 720MHz. These two top-end Kaveri APUs appear to meet the minimum requirements of allowing Battlefield 4 to be played at the resolution of 1600 x 900 pixels. However, based on our past experiences with integrated graphics, the Kaveri APUs may not be game changers as they wouldn’t be able to play demanding game titles at high settings.

AMD has been known to work closely with EA. Recently, the Battlefield 4 game was also bundled with certain SKUs of the AMD Radeon R9 series graphics cards from add-in card partners that include ASUS, MSI, Gigabyte and Sapphire.
