NVIDIA Reports Record Revenue for Third Quarter Thanks to Kepler and Tegra

NVIDIA has just a rather outstanding third quarter for fiscal year 2013. According to the financial report released by NVIDIA, the company saw record revenue of US$1.2 billion, giving a net income of US$209 million. This is no doubt due to the success of its Kepler GPUs and Tegra SoC.

NVIDIA recently released mainstream versions of the Kepler GPU and Tegra is used fairly widely in tablets such as the ASUS Transformer Pad and the new Microsoft Surface.

In response, NVIDIA founder Jen-Hsun Huang has this to say:

"Investments in our new growth strategies paid off this quarter in record revenues and margins," said Jen-Hsun Huang, president and chief executive officer of NVIDIA. "Kepler GPUs are winning across the special-purpose PC markets we serve, from gaming to design to supercomputing. And Tegra is powering some of the most innovative tablets, phones and cars in the market."
