G.Skill Launches Its New Ares Low Profile DDR3 Memory Kits

With a 3.2cm-tall low profile heat spreader design, the memory modules are ideal for building high performance PCs with large CPU coolers, or other systems with restricted space. Factor in XMP support, low voltage at high speeds and you get memory that's ideal for overclocked systems.

G.Skill presents the new Ares series low profile performance DDR3 memory.

With a 3.2cm-tall low profile spreader design, the memory modules are ideal for building high performance PCs with large CPU coolers, or other systems with restricted space. Also, in order to ensure stability and compatibility with both Intel and AMD platforms, each memory kit is hand-tested with G.Skill's rigorous internal validation process. XMP Support also lends its hand to quickly set up your new memory and run them at optimized settings.

Listed below are the various Ares low profile memory offerings. From the specs, you can infer that these memory are ideal for overclocking modern day platforms as they require low voltage while able to run at speeds over 1800MHz. This is unlike older modules in the past that require high voltages for equivalent memory clock speeds which are unsuitable for the latest Intel and AMD processors where high voltages are detrimental to the CPUs.
