With CPUs based on Intel’s 14nm Broadwell microarchitecture coming soon, Gigabyte has joined the likes of ASUS and ASRock in rolling out support for the new processors. The 5th-generation Intel processors should bring improved power and efficiency over 4th-generation chips because of the smaller process node.

All Gigabyte Z97 and H97 motherboards will support 5th-generation Intel Core processors with a simple BIOS update. The new BIOS updates are already available for download in the Support section on Gigabyte’s website. To locate the correct update for your Gigabyte motherboard, simply enter your motherboard’s model into the Downloads search field.
