First Board to Get DDR3-2400MHz Intel XMP Certification - ASUS P9X79 Deluxe
ASUS scores an accolade - its P9X79 Deluxe being the first Intel X79 motherboard certified Intel XMP for DDR3-2400MHz.
The ASUS P9X79 Deluxe was named the first X79 board that obtained Intel XMP certification for DDR3-2400MHz memory. The XMP certification for the P9X79 Deluxe was attained using Kingston HyperX quad-channel memory kits.
The Rampage IV Extreme also demonstrated how far RAM speeds can be pushed on the Intel X79 platform. It recently served as the key ingredient of a system that clocked 2700MHz DDR, configured with 16GB of G.Skill Ripjaws Z DDR3-2400 (4GB x4) at 1.65V.
