Cooler Master has announced the local availability of its new MWE Gold series power supplies. These PSUs are fully modular and were designed to meet the demand for higher power efficiency from consumers, while also offering improvements in terms of noise and durability.
As its name suggests, the entire line-up serves up 80 Plus Gold efficiency of over 90 per cent, in addition to +12V rail regulation of 3 per cent. According to Cooler Master, this helps improve the stability of components.
In addition, Cooler Master said that its internal capacitors were selected for operation at 45 degrees Celsius, which provides rated output with less derating above 25 degrees Celsius.
The new PSUs also use the company’s own 135mm Silencio fans with loop dynamic bearings (LDB) for quieter operation (reportedly under 20dBA in select conditions).
Price-wise, Cooler Master has gone with rather palatable price tags for the MWE Gold series in the hopes that it will appeal to mainstream audiences:
- MWE Gold 550 (S$109)
- MWE Gold 650 (S$129)
- MWE Gold 750 (S$149)
Each PSU is backed by a 5-year warranty.
