ASUS announces local availability of ROG Maximus VII Formula motherboard

ASUS has announced the local availability of the Republic of Gamers Maximus VII Formula. It’s the latest addition to the Maximus VII family of boards that are based on the Intel Z97 chipset.

The Maximus VII Formula full ATX board features of an "exclusive CrossChill Copper hybrid-cooling solution" that allows for liquid cooling. In addition, the CrossChill Copper heatsinks have fins designed for optimal heat dissipation. The board has an upgraded onboard audio system, the SupremeFX 2014. According to the company, the SupremeFX 2014 builds on the strengths of the previous generation SupremeFX technology that was featured on some Intel 8-series ROG boards. The SupremeFX 2014 features premium capacitors as well as a Cirrus Logic CS4398 DAC that is capable of delivering up to 120dB signal-to-noise ratio (SNR) output. The SupremeFX 2014 has the Sonic SenseAmp feature that is able to detect headphone impedance and adjust its built-in amplifier automatically.

The board's digital power regulation system consists of NexFET MOSFETs, 60A Blackwing chokes and 10K Japanese-made black metallic capacitors. In order to protect such high-end components, the board comes with the exclusive ROG armor that is made up of an ABS plastic front cover, and a rear SECC steel backplate. Speaking of more protection, the board also features LANGuard that offers surge protection for its Gigabit LAN ports. The ASUS Maximus VII Formula board is available now for S$569 and comes bundled with the Watch Dogs PC game title.
