ASRock's H61 Motherboards Support Ivy Bridge CPUs After BIOS Update

ASRock has brought support for Ivy Bridge CPUs as well as Intel Rapid Start and Smart Connect technologies to its entire H61 motherboard series. The company has released BIOS updates to these entry-level boards so that they can retain their computing advantage at no additional costs.

ASRock has released new BIOS for its entire H61 motherboard series. Upon successful updating of their BIOS, these entry-level boards will be able to enjoy second wind as they can support Intel Ivy Bridge processors manufactured from the 22nm fabrication process.

These boards are able to support overclocked memory modules with memory clock frequencies rated up to 2200MHz. This is a nod to entry-level system owners who want to push their rigs beyond the normal rated levels of their machines. ASRock added that their H61 motherboards, with their updated firmware and drivers, will support Intel Rapid Start and Smart Connect technologies. The list of ASRock H61 boards that are supported:
