This new processor boasts higher clockspeed and boost speed than its predecessor, the FX-6100.The TDP of the FX-6200 has been increased to 125W due to its higher performance levels. It belongs to the FX Bulldozer family and it fits socket AM3+ motherboards. According to CPU support list of Gigabyte's GA-990XA-UD3 motherboard, the microprocessor still comes with B2 core stepping; therefore, it is unlikely that there are any major internal core enhancements to the new processor. Its suggested retail price is US$175 which is US$10 more expensive than the FX-6100.
