The ASUS ROG Matrix GeForce RTX 5090 30th Anniversary Limited Edition is stunning
You can stand a chance to win one too

ASUS is marking 30 years of graphics card designs with something that doesn’t just sit quietly in a PC case. Announced at the recent Gamescom, the ROG Matrix GeForce RTX 5090 is a limited-edition monster of a card that draws heavily from the company’s past, while pushing into uncharted territory with its power demands.
To be sure, this isn’t just another oversized GPU. With its copper-aluminium heatsink, translucent infinity-mirror lighting, and a bold rounded shroud that breaks away from typical rectangular designs, the ROG Matrix card feels part retro throwback and part futuristic statement piece. But the real headline is under the hood: a staggering 800W TGP ceiling, achieved by plugging into both a 12V-2x6 cable and ASUS’ BTF motherboard slot at the same time. That’s well above the 575W baseline for the standard GeForce RTX 5090, and opens the door for serious overclocking.
However, if you do not have a BTF-compatible motherboard, the ROG Matrix GeForce RTX 5090 runs just fine on a single 12V-2x6 cable too.
Cooling is handled with liquid metal, a copper base, and the fan layout follows the ROG Astral GeForce RTX 50 Series cards: three fans on one side, and a blower-style single fan on the other. Only 1,000 units are being made, and ASUS Singapore has confirmed that a very limited number of units will be sold in Singapore around end October. Pricing details are not ready but it’s obvious it won’t come cheap, but for those who manage to snag one, it’s as much a collector’s piece as it is a powerhouse.
