Samsung's massive 49-inch Odyssey OLED G9 gaming monitor lands in Singapore on Jun 26

Is 49-inch wide enough for you?

Remember the gargantuan new series of Odyssey monitors that Samsung announced at this year’s CES? They are the company’s top-of-the-line monitors and are quite a sight to behold with their beautiful (and for some models, massive too) displays.

Well, one of them is finally coming to Singapore.

The Samsung Odyssey OLED G9 will be available from June 26 for the princely sum of $3,399 and Samsung is running a pre-order programme between now until June 11, where buyers will get a Galaxy Tab S7 FE Wi-Fi (64GB) worth $755 and a Portable SSD T7 Shield in blue (1TB) worth $149. Terms and conditions apply.

For the uninitiated, the Odyssey OLED G9 is an OLED version of Samsung’s gaming-focused Odyssey range of gaming monitors. The 49-inch monitor uses quantum dot, pixel-by-pixel diodes to ensure an excellent colour contrast ratio.

This panel has dual-quad HD resolution (1440p) at 32:9 aspect ratio, with a 1800R curvature and perks like 240Hz refresh rate with 0.1ms response time. Since OLED bulbs are self-contained and self-illuminated, they don’t require backlight like mini-LEDs, and therefore offers 1,000,000:1 dynamic contrast ratio.

This monitor is also partnered with the likes of Amazon Prime Video, Netflix, and YouTube (through its Smart Hub system), so you can watch content from these platforms without needing a PC. Also built into the panel is Samsung Gaming Hub

To pre-order the Samsung Odyssey OLED G9 gaming monitor, head over to the promotional page here. But hurry, the offer ends on June 11.

Update: The Samsung Odyssey OLED G9 is also available at the Samsung Official Store on Lazada and Shopee, as well as major consumer electronics and IT retailers.
