At CES 2015 today, Samsung unveiled its latest and most advanced curved 34-inch monitor that comes with an ultra-wide quad high definition (ULTRA-WQHD) resolution. The new Samsung SE790C curved monitor is designed with an innovative 3000R (3,000mm radius) curvature that gives users a noticeably different viewing experience. Unlike flat screen monitors where viewing distance differs from the center of the screen to the edges, the SE790C is designed to more closely match the natural curve of the user's eyes. This results in a distortion-free viewing experience with less eye strain and improved comfort.

The SE790C features an ultra-wide 21:9 aspect ratio with a resolution of 3,440 by 1,440 pixels for a wider and more immersive panoramic-like viewing. The SE790C also boast a contrast ratio of 3000:1, typical brightness of 300 cd/m2, response time of 4ms and viewing angles of 178 degrees horizontally and vertically. Other features include Picture-by-Picture (PbP), Picture-in-Picture (PiP) 2.0, four USB 3.0 super-charging ports and built-in 7-watt dual speakers. The new SE790C comes with a T-shaped, height-adjustable stand (HAS) and hidden VESA bracket support.

Besides 34-inch, the SE790C also comes with a smaller 29-inch variant with a resolution of 2,560 by 1,080 pixels (Wide FHD).
