Samsung’s new entry-level smart monitors double up on PC and web-based TV needs
The 2023 version of the Samsung Smart Monitor M5 is now available in Singapore.

Samsung followed up on its hyper-versatile monitor range with the 2023 versions of the Smart Monitor M5, an entry-level panel for easy access to TV and PC features.
Like before, the 2023 range of Smart Monitor M5 works as a cost-effective display for PC and laptop use. It also offers its embedded TV apps (Tizen operating system), built-in speakers, and an included remote control for a comprehensive PC and TV experience.
Other features are its Wireless PC mirroring that lets you access your work stuff remotely, on top of built-in support for Microsoft 365 productivity apps for accessing, viewing, and editing documents. If you’re more of a smartphone warrior, the Smart Monitor M5 also supports extending your mobile display via Samsung DeX, Tap View, and Airplay.

The Smart Monitor M5 is also part of the Samsung SmartThings smart home ecosystem. It can act as a control centre or monitoring device via its built-in Smart Home Monitoring tool.
The M5 range differs from its higher-grade M8 series announced at CES 2023; the latter offers 4K resolution displays. Smart Monitor M5 panels have Full HD resolution instead (1,920 x 1,080 pixels), but it still packs HDR10 support, 60Hz refresh rate, and low response times (4ms GTG) in its VA LCD panels. Two sizes are available here (27-inch and 32-inch), both coming in Black and White colourways.

Samsung’s 2023 Smart Monitor M5 is available for pre-orders until 9 April 2023 via the Samsung Online Store, and Samsung’s official storefronts on Amazon, Lazada and Shopee. It’s also found at major consumer electronics and IT retailers. It officially goes on sale on 10 April 2023.
The 27-inch version has a pre-order price of S$428, while the 32-inch goes at S$488.
Customers who pre-order any of the below Smart Monitor M5 can get a complimentary JBL Quantum 100 headset (worth S$59.90), while stocks last.
