Lenovo’s Y27f Curved Gaming Monitor is the company’s first to support AMD FreeSync

Lenovo has announced the Y27f Curved Gaming Monitor, the first from the company to offer support for AMD’s FreeSync variable refresh rate technology.

The 27-inch display features a curved VA panel, which should mean better viewing angles and a more immersive experience. In fact, the R1800 curvature is one of the most prominent on the market now.

With that said, the monitor has a rather underwhelming 1,920 x 1,080-pixel resolution, but you do get a 144Hz refresh rate for a butter smooth experience while gaming and even on the Windows desktop. FreeSync eliminates stuttering by varying the panel’s refresh rate according to the creation of new frames, and the high refresh rate will be able to capitalize on that quite effectively.

It also comes with an adjustable stand, which you can tilt, lift, or swivel to get the most comfortable viewing angle.

In addition, you’ll have a choice of either HDMI 1.4 or DisplayPort 1.2 connectors, while a USB 3.0 hub that supports charging will let you connect or charge your peripheral devices.

The Y27f Curved Gaming Monitor is available now at US$399. With that said, if you prefer NVIDIA’s G-Sync solution, Lenovo also has the Y27g Curved Gaming Monitor that supports the latter technology.
