HP Introduces OMEN Transcend 32 QD OLED gaming monitor with a 240Hz refresh rate

Not to be outdone by other gaming hardware vendors, HP has announced a slew of new gaming hardware and peripherals.
These include the OMEN Transcend gaming notebooks, HyperX Cloud Mini Headsets, a HyperX Alloy Rise Keyboard, a HyperX Pulsefire Haste 2 Mini compact gaming mouse, and the HyperX Knight and Delta Gaming Backpacks.
One other piece of gaming hardware announced was the OMEN Transcend 32 UHD 240Hz OLED Gaming Monitor.
HP says that the OMEN Transcend 32 is the “first gaming monitor with independent switchable USB Ports”. This should allow a user to you can run two devices from the same display without having to re-wire or use a KVM box. For example, by connecting the monitor to a desktop, laptop, keyboard and mouse, a user can opt to share the mouse across the devices. However, the keyboard can only be assigned to work with the desktop.
QD-OLED panel technology powers a 4K UHD display with a 1,500,000:1 contrast ratio, 240Hz refresh rate, and 0.3 ms response time. At the same time, it is VESA Display HDR True Black 400 certified. Its audio is tuned by HyperX, which includes a 10-band EQ that is fully customisable within the OMEN Gaming Hub.
The OMEN Transcend 32 Gaming Monitor will have a three-year warranty period when it becomes available later this year with HP saying that pricing will be shared closer to the date. We will update this article with more information when we receive it.
