Cooler Master's Sentinel III mouse is great for a palm grip gamer
if you're a gamer with a palm grip, Cooler Master's Sentinel III is a mouse clearly meant for you.
Cooler Master's Sentinel III is the latest mouse from the company.
Using a mouse is as simple as holding it, pushing it around and clicking a few buttons. Using a mouse well and being comfortable with the mouse is a whole different story. Every individual using a mouse has a different grip style; palm, claw or fingertip and it's those types that dictate how comfortable you are with a particular type of mouse. It may look otherwise, but not all mice are created equal.
Luckily, if you're a palm grip user looking for an FPS mouse, Cooler Master's new Sentinel III mouse has you covered. Specifically created for the palm grip user who plays FPS games, the Sentinel III is the latest in a line of ergonomic mice from the company.
In case you're wondering what type of grip you use, here's a handy explanation.
The Sentinel III is an eight button mouse that uses an Avago 3988 sensor. It has a maximum DPI of 6400, and it comes with presets that set it at 400,1200, 4000 and 6400 DPI. Slightly larger than the average mouse, the Sentinel III comes with both a pinky and thumb rest,. Other specs of the mouse include a 1 millisecond polling rate and a weight system so that you can make the mouse heavier or lighter if you desire.
Like other gaming mice, the Sentinel III also comes bundled with Cooler Master's customization suite, which allows you to change the mouse's button configuration, DPI presets and colors. With its 32-bit ARM processor and 512KB on-board memory, you can save your settings to the mouse itself without needing to redo everything if you use the mouse on a different machine.
The Cooler Master Sentinel III also features the 'Storm TactiX' system, which is a modifier button that lets you assign secondary functions to the other buttons on the mouse, similar to Roccat's Easy Shift [+] system. This essentially doubles the usable buttons on the mouse.
Finally, the LED display on top of the mouse can also be customized to display your current mouse settings, as well as upload a 32 x 32 pixels image to it. If you're in a clan or team, this can obviously be used to display your logo.
The Sentinel III is already on sale for $109, so if you're interested, you can get it right now.
