Cooler Master’s MasterCase EG200 expands your laptop's graphical power
More than just a laptop dock, the MasterCase EG200 improves a compatible laptop’s graphic prowess, storage, and helps to offer desktop-like performance.
Cooler Master's MasterCase EG200 is their new external graphics dock solution to thin and light notebooks.
Most laptop docks these days comes with just extra USB ports, a display output, and helps charge the laptop but Cooler Master’s MasterCase EG200 takes that further by doing all of that and offering the option to add a desktop-class graphics card and storage solution into it.
Powered by Cooler Master’s 550W Gold SFX PSU, this 9.7L dock connects using a single Thunderbolt 3 cable which transmits data and charges at 60W. It’s also tested to be compatible with PCs or Apple’s MacBook.

As for compatible graphic cards that can fit into the MasterCase EG200, the maximum allowable length and width in this enclosure is 325mm and 54mm (~2.5 slots) respectively. To power the GPU, a pair of 6+2 PCIe power cables are provided within the enclosure. There’s even a slim 92mm fan at the top to exhaust heat generated from the components inside, which is in addition to the PSU's own exhaust.
On the back, there are three USB 3.2 Gen 1 and a single USB micro-B 3.2 Gen 1 ports, and an option to add a single 2.5-inch or 3.5-inch drive to expand on storage needs as well. Your laptop can even be comfortably mounted on the side of the dock with the built-in laptop stand. That's a pretty neat solution, but don't forget that it isn't designed for more creative laptops that like the new ASUS ZenBook Duo UX482 with its raised hinge based secondary screen and advanced air cooling system.
