For those who are tired of working with a small single display on their laptops, good news – ASUS has announced the availability of its new ZenScreen Duo OLED (MQ149CD).

Taking inspiration from the ZenBook Duo laptop (read review here), the ZenScreen Duo OLED is a compact dual-screen solution that weighs at 1.07kg and fold down to a mere 14 inches. When unfolded, the two OLED panels deliver the equivalent onscreen area of a standard 20-inch display, with each display offering a 1920x1200 resolution and a 16:10 aspect ratio.

As with most if not all OLED panels, the ZenScreen Duo OLED can be expected to deliver vivid colours and deep blacks. ASUS also says there will be HDR support and a cinema-grade 100% DCI-P3 colour gamut, as well as a Delta E<2 rating for creative professionals who rely on precision.

There are certainly plenty of interesting usage scenarios with the ZenScreen Duo OLED. For instance, you can flip it into Tent mode for a unique dual-direction presentation. Then there’s also the “Split, Extended, Independent, and Mirror” modes. Split Mode sounds like a great idea, essentially turning it into a portrait display that makes reading or coding a lot easier.

Two USB-C ports and a Mini HDMI port provide a broad range of compatibility, allowing the ZenScreen Duo OLED to be hooked up to a laptop, mobile device, or other HDMI-enabled equipment.

And yes, you can also connect a Nintendo Switch with it for the ultimate overseas gaming companion.

The ASUS ZenScreen Duo OLED will be available in mid-March for S$799.
