Samsung has officially launched its latest Smart Monitor lineup, comprising the new Smart Monitor M9 (M90SF) and refreshed versions of the Smart Monitor M8 (M80F) and Smart Monitor M7 (M70F). The M9 introduces OLED display technology to the Smart Monitor series for the first time, while the M8 and M7 have been updated with new features and enhancements.
First up, the new Smart Monitor M9 features a 32-inch 4K OLED display, delivering high contrast and vivid colours with a fast response time of 0.03ms GTG. It supports a refresh rate of up to 165Hz and is compatible with NVIDIA G-SYNC, allowing for smooth and responsive visuals.

To address concerns about OLED burn-in, Samsung has included its OLED Safeguard+ technology. The screen also features a glare-free coating, making it suitable for use in brightly lit environments. For those looking to use the monitor for colour-accurate works, the Smart Monitor M9 is Pantone validated and can reproduce over 2,100 Pantone colours and 110 SkinTone shades.
Hardware aside, the M9 is equipped with Samsung’s AI Picture Optimiser, 4K AI Upscaling Pro, and Active Voice Amplifier Pro. These features are designed to enhance image and sound quality in real time by automatically adjusting to the content being viewed and the surrounding environment.

There are minor differences between the M8 and M7 model.
Alongside the M9, Samsung has refreshed its Smart Monitor M8 and M7 models. Both now feature 32-inch 4K UHD VA panels that should be perfect for everyday productivity and general use. They include AI-powered discovery tools such as “Click to Search,” which allows users to interact with and explore content more easily. Running on the latest version of Tizen OS Home, the M8 and M7 offer personalised recommendations and easy access to frequently used services. According to the company, Samsung has committed to providing up to seven years of One UI Tizen upgrades for these models.
Similar to its predecessors, the M8 and M7 also support SmartThings integration, Multi View, and Multi Control, enabling users to manage connected devices and multitask across Samsung devices. With built-in Microsoft 365 access, users can create and edit documents directly on the monitor without a separate PC. The M7 is additionally available in a larger 43-inch variant for those who require more screen space.
Finally, while the Smart Monitor M8 and M7 share many key features, there are still a few main differences. The M8 has a brighter screen at 400 nits and supports HDR10+, while the M7 is slightly dimmer at 300 nits and supports standard HDR10. The M8 also comes with a built-in webcam and has a height-adjustable stand that can pivot, while the M7 has a simpler fixed stand and no camera. The M8 is only available in a 32-inch size, while the M7 comes in both 32-inch and 43-inch versions. Overall, the M8 is a more premium model with extra features, while the M7 is a more budget-friendly option with more size choices.
