Xiaomi already has a smartband, and if rumors are a true, a smartwatch could be on the way too, but how about a pair of smart running shoes? According to a report on Reuters, Xiaomi is teaming up with China-based shoe manufacturer Li-Ning to make tracking your running activities more advanced than ever.

Li-Ning will be developing the smart running shoes alongside Huami Technology, Xiaomi's wearable partner, and the company responsible for Xiaomi's Mi Band. According to a statement by Li-Ning, each pair of smart shoes will have chips in its soles to track activity, transmitting data to a mobile app to keep tabs on progress, analyze form and celebrate training milestones.

"We have chosen to collaborate with the Mi band because of Huami Technology's strength in "smart" wearable products," Li Ning said in a statement on Monday. "We hope to use this opportunity to provide professional "smart" running shoes to running enthusiasts in China at an affordable price."
