Withings announced the ScanWatch at CES 2020, which is the world's first watch with ECG and sleep apnea detection.

The ScanWatch is equipped with three electrodes to record a medical-grade electrocardio-gram (ECG) in just 30 seconds. It can detect atrial fibrillation (AFib) and classify your heart rhythm as normal or out-of-range.

The ScanWatch also provides 24/7 heart scanning and the exclusive algorithm developed with cardiologists will provide a more detailed diagnostic report and related advice in the Withings Health Mate app.

The ScanWatch comes with embedded SpO2 sensors to analyse the changing blood color within your vessels to determine the oxygen saturation level in real time. When the Overnight Scan feature is enabled, ScanWatch will perform continuous SpO2 tests to determine whether sleep apnea episodes have occurred.

Some new features include a new and bigger PMOLED screen, a pressable digital crown for scrolling through features, sapphire glass for durability and scratch resistance, and battery life that can last up to 30 days on a single charge.

The ScanWatch comes with the standard suite of fitness tracking and smartphone notification features such as a preview of smartphone notification for any app of your choice, connected GPS, activity detection,  waterproof up to 5 ATM, and the option to change wristbands.

Withings is pending FDA and CE health regulatory clearances before selling the ScanWatch. The 38mm model is priced at US$249 while the 42mm model costs US$299. It is expected to hit retail shelves in Q2.
