The TCL RayNeo X2 AR glasses will make you feel like Peter Parker with E.D.I.T.H glasses
They look quite stylish too. In a slightly nerdy sort of way.

We only had a very brief minute with the TCL RayNeo X2 AR glasses at IFA 2024, but they certainly left a big enough impression on our editor Zach.
These smart glasses look very much like normal spectacles, albeit with much thicker frames to house all the electronics and sensors necessary. There's no second screen HUD display or camera lenses sticking out, and the AR HUD is integrated into the lenses of the glasses itself thanks to the use of binocular full-colour micro-LED optical waveguide displays.
These displays can go up to 1,000 nits of brightness and can do just about everything that you'd AR glasses would do, like face-tracking dialogue translation, 3D interactive navigation, head-up notifications, and more.
They also have 85% optical transmittance, which means that unless someone is close by and actually paying attention, they won't be able to notice that there are displays on your glasses.
Powering the RayNeo X2 is Qualcomm's Snapdragon XR2 5G chip with 6GB of RAM and 128GB of storage. There are also three microphones for precise audio capture and to allow the wearer to interact with the AI assistant that uses built-in multi-modal LLM and GPT-4 onboard.
The glasses can be controlled by touch on both sides of the frame, and there's a camera on the nose bridge which allows first person video capture as well as 16MP photos.

The TCL RayNeo X2 AR glasses are already available now on the RayNeo website for US$849.99 (~S$1,088)
