Contrary to an earlier report, a new rumour has emerged suggesting that the upcoming Samsung Galaxy Watch7 premium model might not adopt the Ultra moniker. Furthermore, some of its alleged specs have been leaked.
Greek site TechManiacs.gr claims the upcoming premium model is likely to be called the Samsung Galaxy Watch X.
If the "X" branding sounds familiar, Apple used it in 2017 with the release of the iPhone X and it is speculated that a "Watch X" model might be launched to celebrate the 10th anniversary of the Apple Watch.
TechManiacs.gr also revealed some possible specs of the Samsung Galaxy Watch X. These include a water resistance rating of up to 100m, up to 100 hours of battery life, and that it will be powered by the Exynos W1000 chipset.
Assuming the above specs are accurate, the Samsung Galaxy Watch X edges out the Apple Watch Ultra 2 in the aspect of battery life since the latter is stated to last up to 36 hours under normal usage conditions, and up to 72 hours in low power mode.
The Samsung Galaxy Watch X might also debut later than expected. TechManiacs.gr says it will be announced on 24 July, not 10 July.
