The Apple Vision Pro.
Apple is said to be adopting a rollout strategy for the Vision Pro which is similar to the first-generation Apple Watch.
Sources familiar with the matter told Bloomberg that Apple is planning an appointment-based system for consumers to try out the Vision Pro at designated areas in its retail stores.
These designated areas come with seating, demo units and tools to size accessories for consumers. To help consumers find the right light seal, Apple is said to be working on an iPhone app and a physical machine that can scan the user's head.
The Apple Vision Pro is slated to hit international markets at the end of 2024 with the U.K and Canada as the first two overseas markets. Asia and Europe would follow soon after. Sources say Apple engineers are localising the device for France, Germany, Australia, China, Hong Kong, Japan, and Korea.
Due to the supply chain logistics, training of staff and use of special equipment, third-party retailers will not be selling the Vision Pro until at least 2025.
