Hot on the heels of our RingConn smart ring review, the brand has already announced a Gen 2 model that's a massive improvement over the original. Every aspect of the RingConn Gen 2 is better than the first. It is even lighter at just 2-3g, compared to the 3-5g of the original. It is also 0.6mm thinner than the original. While it retains an IP68 ingress protection rating, it also gains up to 100m water resistance. All this and somehow RingConn has been able to improve battery life to 10-12 days for the Gen 2 ring, up from "just" 7 days on the original.
One major feature update is sleep apnea detection, a world's first for a smart ring. If this sounds familiar, Samsung recently mentioned this as a key feature for their new Galaxy Watch7 and Watch Ultra smartwatches, but it's not available on the Galaxy Ring. This means RingConn has leapfrogged Samsung in their own game. RingConn boasts up to 90.7% accuracy for their sleep apnea detection algorithms.

The RingConn Gen 2 is now available for purchase in Singapore through weareready.sg for S$439. We do notice that available sizes are limited, but you can pre-order for unavailable sizes with estimated shipping by end November 2024. You can also view and try on the rings in person at Singtel Shop 313@somerset. All three colours - Future Silver, Matte Black, and Royal Gold - are available.
