TomTom Runner 3.
TomTom just released a refresh to their running watch range – the TomTom Runner 3. It packs all the familiar tracking tools that runners would enjoy, on top of a new Route Exploration feature.
Route Exploration allows the runner to upload previously undiscovered running trails into their Runner 3 wearable. The routes are recommended by fellow TomTom users, and it’s found via the TomTom Sports website.
The built-in GPS-tracking feature contributes to its GPS-based route tracing. The trace, combined with the wearable’s integrated compass, allows runners to try new routes while making it easy to find their way back to the start point.
The TomTom Runner 3 certainly packs all the other standard fitness tracker features – it has 24/7 activity tracking, Multisport mode for different exercises, a built-in heart rate monitor, and various running modes such as Interval Training and Race mode. It is also water resistant up to 40m in depth.
The music-friendly variant has 3GB storage for up to 500 songs. Headphones are sold separately.
The Runner 3 has another variant called the Runner 3 Cardio + Music. This variant has all the above-mentioned features, plus support for music playback with its built-in 3GB storage. According to TomTom, this Runner 3 variant can hold up to 500 songs, depending on their file sizes. You connect the Runner 3 Cardio + Music to your fitness-friendly headphones via Bluetooth.
The TomTom Runner 3 Cardio is retailing at S$249, and the song-friendly TomTom Runner 3 Cardio + Music is retailing at S$299. They are available from June 2017 at TomTom’s official website, and at the following retailers:
