Huawei announces new smartwatches - the Huawei Watch 2 and Watch 2 Classic

Huawei also announced their new Huawei Watch 2 and Watch 2 Classic MWC 2017, alongside their flagship smartphones.

The Android Wear 2.0 OS smartwatches uses an all-in-one antenna with 4G LTE, Bluetooth, GPS, NFC, and Wi-Fi, and it uses either a Nano-SIM or eSIM card - according to Huawei, the watch can use the same phone number as your smartphone. It also features sports-tracking, with a heart rate monitor, training coach functionality, built-in GPS, IP68 water resistance, and VO2Max tracking.

The smartwatches use a Qualcomm Snapdragon Wear 2100 processor. They also come with 4GB internal storage for songs. They support Android Pay for cashless payment. Huawei claims that the watches can last 2 days with normal usage (7 hours with HRM tracking and GPS tracking). The smartwatches allow the devices to have standalone apps, and they can be found on the Google Play app store. The Porsche Design Huawei Smartwatch is their luxury make, built for users who like a little branding for themselves.

Huawei Watch 2 will retail in March 2017 at €379 (4G variant) and €329 (Bluetooth only variant). the Watch 2 Classic will cost €399 Euros (Bluetooth-only variant). None of the initial launch regions include Singapore.
