The enterprise edition of Google Glass has been updated to feature new hardware specifications. The new Google Glass Enterprise Edition 2 is powered by the Qualcomm SnapDragon XR1 platform and operates on Android 8.0.

At the center is the quad-core, 1.7GHz SnapDragon SoC, which is ideal for AR, VR and machine learning applications. Its optical display resolution still stands at 640- by 360 pixels but its camera has been upgraded from 5MP to 8MP. The glasses are powered by an 820mAh cell, and users can choose from a wireframe or a ruggedized built.

The Google Glass Enterprise Edition 2 is available only from Google Glass partners, for enterprise users. The cost of the device will vary due to customization of software, tailored customer support and user training requirements.
