Garmin's Vivosmart 4 can track your blood oxygen levels

Garmin's latest fitness tracker, the Vivosmart 4, can track your blood oxygen levels.

Garmin unveiled its latest fitness tracker, the Vivosmart 4 at IFA 2018.

The main highlight of the Vivosmart 4 is the pulse oximeter sensor, which is able to track your blood oxygen saturation. Garmin introduced this feature on the more expensive Fenix 5X Plus sports watch.

Users of the Vivosmart 4 can take a reading throughout the day and the data will be included on the sleep graph in the Garmin Connect app, but the app will not give users an alert if they have low oxygen saturation.

Another new feature is the "body battery" energy monitoring. It takes into account how much energy the user has been expending and will rate him/her on how ready he/she is able to hit the next workout.

Other upgraded specs include a redesigned heart rate sensor, VO2 max tracking, activity tracking, stress monitoring and a relax reminder.

The Vivosmart 4 comes in four colors: black, azure, berry and gray with rose gold. It retails for US$129.99 (~S$178).
