First seen at IFA 2017 just earlier this month, Garmin's new vivosport activity trackers will be available on our sunny and wet island very soon.

The vivosport features a sleek design with a fiber-reinforced polymer case, comfortable silicone strap, and an always-on Garmin Chroma color touch-enabled display.

The display is protected by strengthened glass and has a resolution of 144 x 72 pixels.

Garmin did not disclose a water resistance depth rating, but says that the vivosport is suitable for swimming.

The vivosport also features a built-in GPS and an integrated heart rate sensor.

It tracks your daily activities and can be used to monitor your workouts and even your stress levels.

It is compatible with iOS, Android, and Windows Phone devices and features smart notifications so that you know when you receive a call, text, or email.

Garmin claims a battery life of 7 days in smartwatch mode and 8 hours in GPS/workout mode.

It will be available in three colors: black/slate, black/fuschia, and black/limelight. It will also come in two sizes: regular and large.

The Garmin vivosport goes on sale from 7 October and will be priced at S$299.
