Garmin Forerunner 255.
Garmin just announced the retail availability of the Forerunner 955 and 255 series in Singapore.
The Garmin Forerunner 255 Series is available in four models: the 255, 255S, 255 Music and 255S Music. The Foreunner 255 Series comes with several new features which include:
- Morning report: Weather and daily workout suggestion, last night's sleep and HRV status. The report can be customised to show information that you want to see.
- Full triathlon support: Toggle between sports with a single button press.
- Race widget: Race prep information such as race day-specific performance prediction, weather and countdown clock can be shown in the widget. Daily suggested workouts will adapt according to your race plans.
- HRV status: Heart rate variability can be tracked during sleep to provide a better gauge on your recovery and overall wellness.
- Garmin Pay support: Mobile payment on the go with the watch.
- Multi-band GPS: More accurate run data in different training environments.
- Native running power: When paired with a Running Dynamics Pod or HRM-Pro, you receive real-time metrics of how much power is being exerted on a run.
The Garmin Forerunner 955.
The Garmin Forerunner 955 Series has two models: a solar-powered and a non-solar charging model. The Power Glass solar charging can deliver up to 49 hours of battery life in GPS mode. The Forerunner 955 Series has the following new features:
- Touchscreen Interface: You can quickly swipe through maps, stats and other information. The Forerunner 955 Solar has an always-on full colour display.
- Training readiness: Sleep, recovery time, HRV status and additional metrics will provide an indicator on how well your body will respond to training.
- Real-time stamina insights: Monior and track exertion levels in real-time during a run or ride.
The Forerunner 955 Series also has the multi-bannd GPS technology, HRV status, morning report, race widget and native running power features. Other common features across the two product ranges include blood oyxgen saturation monitoring, body battery energy monitoring, menstrual cycle tracking, and pregnancy tracking.
Garmin says the Forerunner 955 Series and Forerunner 255 Series are now available on Lazada, Shopee, Garmin Online Store and selected authorised retailers. The Forerunner 955 Solar is priced at S$929 while the non-solar charging model is priced at S$769. The Foreunner 255 and Forerunner 255S are priced at S$539 while the Music variants cost S$619.
