Don't hold your breath for the next Apple Watch

The latest rumors now suggest that March will be too early to see the second generation Apple Watch.

Last month, we reported that Apple could unveil its second generation Apple Watch as soon as March 2016. However, the latest rumors now suggest that that won't be the case.

According to Techcrunch reporter Matthew Panzarino, he believes that while Apple could ship a new Apple Watch with minor updates in March, it won't be a "full Watch 2.0" with major improvements.

He draws his conclusion from the fact that there are no significant movements in Apple's supply chain to indicate that a new Apple Watch model is in production.

In addition, he also stated that there are also no significant annoucements made in regards to watchOS to suggest that a new Apple Watch model is coming.

Furthermore, the Apple Watch is said to have enjoyed a bumper holiday season and Apple would be keen to see if the momentum carries over into the new year.
