It's the 40th anniversary of the G-Shock and Casio is marking the milestone with not one, but two limited edition watches.
Called the Flare Red series, it consists of the Mudmaster GWG-2040FR-1ADR and the MTG-B3000FR-1ADR.
Both watches feature flaming red multi-coloured carbon fibre insert bezels. The red colour scheme extends to the dials too as the watches' dials have numerous red accents. And to celebrate the 40th anniversary of the brand, the two watches have keepers decorated with four stars – denoting four decades of G-Shock.

The Mudmaster GWG-2040FR-1ADR, which is based on the GWG-2000 series Mudmaster has a Carbon Core Guard and Casio's Triple Sensor technology. This means it has built-in altimeter-barometer, compass, and thermometer functions.
As for MTG-B3000FR-1ADR, that's based on the new MTG-B3000, which is notable for its slimmer case design. Despite its svelter dimensions, it still features a Dual Core Guard structure and is as rugged as you'd expect a G-Shock to be.

Both watches have all the features you'd expect from a high-end G-Shock watch including Tough Solar, Multi Band 6, chronograph, multiple alarms, world time for approximately 300 cities, and a water resistance rating of up to 200 metres.

The 40th Anniversary Flare Red Series will be available to order at the G-Shock Online Store and at the Ion G-Shock Flagship Store in early November.
The watches will be available at all G-Shock stores by the end of November.
The Mudmaster GWG-2040FR-1ADR is priced at S$1,599 while the MTG-B3000FR-1ADR is priced at S$1,999.
